Silver Star Families of America recognized in Kansas
On Monday, May 21 Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius signed a proclamation at the Kansas Statehouse, recognizing the Silver Star Families of America for service to America's wounded military personnel and their families. A copy of the proclamation in .pdf format is attached.
Gov. Sebelius was joined by Secretary of State Ron Thornburg; and members of the American Legion Riders, Patriot Guard Riders, Kansas Army National Guard, and Pointman Ministries (Viet Nam Veterans ministry outreach group). Among those present were three Purple Heart recipients: two from the Viet Nam War and one from Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to support SSFOA, and honored to be part of the proclamation ceremony.
