The Comedy Show Saturday was a lot of fun. The first show was "Family Friendly" and only about 30 people attended it but we had a blast. Then the second show was "R" rated and there were probably 200 people in attendance. The comedians were great and a lot of money was raised for The Ohio Fallen Heroes Foundation. For SSFOA, Sue, our Myspace friend and organizer of the Show made a bear with the Silver Star Patch, which we raffled and raised $53.00 for banners for our kids. A lot of brochures were picked up and about 200 more people know about us than did on Friday. I met Donna Squires who is the mother of Fallen Hero Cpl. Brad Squires, one of our Lima 3/25 Marines that we lost last year.
The Rally....wow. Motorcyles staged at 4 different Harley dealers around Cleveland. From the Elyria Harley shop there was a procession FOUR MILES LONG of motorcyles...so multiply that by 4. A LOT of bikes. All of the speeches were wonderful, even mine, which went very smoothly and I didn't even start to shake until after I was done. Passed out a lot of cards and gave out a lot of info. Got a big round of applause when I announced Silver Star Day....it was great. There I met Jackie Hymes who is the aunt of Fallen Hero Navy Hospitalman Matthew Conte who died on Feb 1st of this year. She sang a song of celebration of Matthew's life that she had written & came all the way from Florida to particpate. Again, Donna Squires was there & spoke. Also Jim Boskovitch, whose son Cpl. Jeffrey Boskovitch is another of our Fallen Heroes from the Lima 3/25 Marines. Lots of press there, so.....
